About: Our High-Quality Ayurvedic Kasthuri Manjal / Wild Turmeric Powder can be applied directly on the skin or used in cosmetic formulations. Wild Turmeric (scientifically referred to as Cucuma Aromatica) is also known as ‘Kasthuri Manjal’ or Kasthuri Turmeric. It is a yellow-colored herb with a Subterranean shape, which is typically characterized by irregular branches and, thick and dark yellow-colored flesh. Wild Turmeric is mostly found in South Asia and has long been used as an ingredient in Ayurveda and wellness practices of Sri Lanka (where it is referred to as 'Kasthuri Kaha') for its skin healing and lightening properties. However, the applications of Kasturi Manjal is mostly limited to external purposes. It cannot be used in cooking as a spice as in the case of regular Turmeric.
