Uses: Peppermint essential oil is the 100% natural oil extract obtained from Peppermint leaves. It is a natural source of Menthol. Peppermint essential oil is effective against headaches, hair fall, muscle aches, joint pain, and itching. It is inhaled to relieve common cold and nasal congestion. In aromatherapy, Peppermint essential oil is used for treating coughs and colds, reducing pain, improving mental function, and reducing stress. Peppermint essential oil is also used as a refresher in food and mouthwashes. Due to its cooling properties, uplifting aroma, and antiseptic properties, Peppermint oil can be used as a natural aftershave when diluted with a carrier oil.

How to Use: These practical instructions show how to incorporate Peppermint essential oil into everyday routines for maximum benefits;
1. Aromatherapy: Add a few drops of Rosemary essential oil, to a diffuser or an oil burner to fill the room with fragrance while dissipating the therapeutic benefits of the oil. Alternatively, you can inhale the scent directly from the bottle or place a few drops on a tissue and breathe in deeply for therapeutic benefits and cleansing air ways.
2. Skincare: Mix 2-5 drops of essential oil in 1 teaspoon of a carrier oil (2-5% dilution). Apply the mixture to the skin to help with skin ailments. Perform a patch test on inner elbow to ensure there’s no skin sensitivity.
3. Hair Care: Combine essential oils with a carrier oil (2-5% dilution) such as King Coconut oil and massage into the scalp or beard. Leave it on for 15-30 minutes before washing out. For added benefits, you can also add a few drops to your regular shampoo, conditioner, hair or beard oil.
4. Pain Relief (Massages): Dilute Peppermint essential oil in a carrier oil (2-5% dilution), and massage the mixture onto sore muscles, joints, or the temples for headache relief, joint pain and muscle cramps. Alternatively, combine a few drops of Peppermint oil with 1 cup of Epsom Salt, and add the mixture to bath water for muscle relaxation and a cooling effect.
5. Respiratory Support: Add a few drops of Peppermint essential oil to a bowl of hot water. Lean over the bowl, cover your head with a towel, and inhale the steam deeply to help clear congestion and alleviate cold and sinusitis symptoms. You can also diffuse the oils in your bedroom overnight or inhale it directly from the bottle.
6. Natural Cleaning: Add a few drops of Peppermint essential oils to a container filled with water, water and vinegar or alcohol (5-20% dilution). Use this mixture to clean countertops, tiles, glass, or other surfaces. Peppermint essential oils can also be added to laundry loads to help disinfect and add a fresh scent.
7. Pest Repellent: Mix 2 teaspoons of oil with 1 cup of water or rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle. Spray it anywhere you see traces of rats and mice.
